Psychological Self-Awareness is the capability to tune into your own sensations, sense inner signals, and recognize how your sensations affect you and your performance. It is an important ability for management at any level, as well as lots of aspects of life. The purpose of establishing Psychological Self-Awareness is that it permits us to understand how our physical feelings and our emotions impact ourselves, others, and our environment.
Thus, the more we practice it, the more skilled we become and the higher our capacity to recognize the space between stimuli and our action to that stimuli, guaranteeing a more conscious and skilled approach. Without Emotional Self-Awareness, it is challenging to become competent in and consistently utilize the other Emotional and Social Intelligence Competencies.
